Special Event Application

Please submit this Special Event Application prior to making any plans.

This application is to be completed if your special event is open to the public and taking place outside on City of Cambridge property and/or a public roadway. 

Consider the following:

• Ensure your application is completed in full. 
• Once submitted, it will be reviewed by event staff and they will reach out to discuss.
• Event staff will work with you through your event planning process-providing a list of requirements. 
• We know plans change, please share any changes to your event. 
• All event details must be approved by event staff.
• A facility rental permit will be issued once the facility/space is secured in accordance with the City’s Allocation Policy and timelines.
• Conditions, permits or additional fees may be required. Failure to comply may result in staff cancellation of your event.
• A certificate of insurance is a requirement of all events. The City of Cambridge can provide options to procure insurance for your event.
• Hosting an event in our community green spaces means you become a steward of it and are responsible for ensuring all attendees operate with consistent respect for the environment. Events that directly impact the green space, natural habitats and surrounding rivers negatively will not be supported.
